Notes:
There are 6 vertical turbolift shafts, numbered 1 - 6 on the deck plans. Not all shafts go to all decks, and a lift will automatically shift to the correct shafts to get to where they are going. Shaft 1 goes to decks 1 and 2, shaft 2 goes to decks 1 to 4, shafts 3 and 4 go to decks 4 to 6, shafts 5 and 6 go to decks 6 to 8. A person riding a lift from the bridge on Deck 1 to antimatter injection monitoring on Deck 8 would ride a single lift car, which would move down three decks, shift to shaft 3 or 4 on Deck 4, go down two decks and shift to shaft 5 or 6 on Deck 6, and drop down two more decks to finally arrive at Deck 8.

There are six emergency transporter stations on the deck plans on Decks 3, 4 and 6. These are used only in the event of crew evacuation from the ship, or mass evacuation of refugees onto the ship.

On Deck 2, main Sickbay has a main ward of two standard biobeds, and a surgical bay with a surgical biobed that can be forcefielded off for quarantine. Medlab 2 also has a surgical biobed, and can also be used as a quarantine area.

Engineering has its own mess on Deck 7, which has a replicator station. Those working in Main Engineering will usually go here instead of the crew mess on Deck 2 when taking breaks during their shift. Engineering also has its own conference room to use for discussing projects rather than using the conference room on Deck 1.

The waverider shuttle located on Deck 4 is used for special missions only, because of its size and unique parking arrangement. It has its own detailed plans linked below.

All crew quarters on board have standard sonic showers only and no access to water showers with the following exceptions: The Captain's and XO's quarters on Deck 1, and the Chief Medical Officer's and Ops Chief's quarters on Deck 2.

AUXILLIARY CRAFT

Type 9 Personnel Shuttle

Number aboard: 2
Type: Medium long-range warp shuttle
Accomodation: 2 flight crew, 2 passengers
Dimensions: L 8.5m, W 4.61m, H 2.67m
Max. Speed: Warp 6
Weapons: 2 Type-VI Phasers

The Type-9 Personnel Shuttle is a long-range craft capable of traveling at high warp for extended periods of time due to new advances in variable geometry warp physics. Making its debut just before the launch of the Intrepid-class, this shuttle type is ideal for scouting and recon missions, but is well suited to perform many multi-mission tasks. Equipped with powerful Type-VI phaser emitters, the shuttle is designed to hold its own ground for a longer period of time. Comfortable seating for four and moderate cargo space is still achieved without sacrificing speed and maneuverability. As is standard by the 2360’s, the shuttle is equipped with a medium-range transporter and is capable of traveling through a planet’s atmosphere. With its ability to travel at high-warp speeds, the Type-9 has been equipped with a more pronounced deflector dish that houses a compact long-range sensor that further helps it in its role as a scout. The Type-9 is now being deployed throughout the fleet and is especially aiding deep-space exploratory ships with its impressive abilities.

Number aboard: 1
Accomodation: 3 flight crew, 3 passengers
Dimensions: L 16.8m, W 14.5m, H 3.1m
Max. Speed: Warp 6
Weapons: 2 Type-IV Phasers

An auxiliary craft for Nova Class Survey Vessels, the WaveRider-Type atmospheric shuttlecraft is designed to facilitate close quarters examination and survey of planetary bodies by science personnel aboard the ship.

At just over 16 meters in length, the vessel is small enough to be carried by the Nova Class but large enough to be useful. Intended to work in atmosphere, the small craft is highly fuel efficient at Mach-5 and above, making use of the conventional propulsion with back up warp drive for maneuvering in space.

Unlike ordinary shuttlecraft, the WaveRider does not enter the ship’s Main and Auxiliary Shuttlebays; instead, it inserts itself into a recessed port in the ventral part of the saucer just forward of the main sensor dome. Access to the WaveRider is provided by a hatchway inside the ship and a ladder-equipped hard umbilical.
