Yassen nodded his assent, trying not to sound too enthusiastic as he replied; this wasn't a fun day-trip, he reminded himself, and as exciting as the prospect of being on a mission was, he ought to show some temperance befitting his position. "No questions at present, Commander." Unable to fully calm the pre-mission adrenaline, he unthinkingly fiddled with the sleeves of his uniform as he took his place at the centre stations, by Commander Lektar.

Greggory walked onto the ramp as soon as it had lowered completely, gazing up into the small ship and taking a deep breath. These larger shuttles always had their own smell and feel to them: too spacious to be a shuttlecraft but too cramped compared to a proper starship. He smiled with getting the chance to know another piece of equipment.

He turned to look for the crewmen who hadn't travelled with him from the bridge. He hadn't worked with them before, but they seemed eager to prove themselves. To bring his excitement back down, he turned to the more familiar faces.  

"Lieutenant Murray, you'll have the port control panel for flying.  I'll be seated right next to you so I can use the tactical screens to keep a situational view.  

"Commander Lektar, you and Lieutenant Idris take the center stations, to monitor the status of both the Maverick and the Kepler, while trying to manipulate the sensors to pick up whatever you can through that planetary storm. Shirik, I'll also need you to coordinate the tractor pulse applied to get the Kepler into a more stable orbit, so we have time to work. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but roughly a day would be nice."

Turning to Commander Achaea, he kept his gaze solemn. "I'll stay out of your way as much as I can. The last two consoles, port and starboard, are for your use. You and Wryn will be responsible for getting the fusion reactors online so we can access environmental and internal logs. Once we dock the Maverick, her own power output will be available as a limited supply until you can get Kepler stable. If the situation remains stable, we'll beam over a few more crew from Vanguard, with the ultimate goal of getting the Warp Core, transporters, and communication systems online."

He stood tall on the ramp with his hands resting against his hips. "Any other questions before we get under way?"
