Background |
Liam was born, on August 15th, 2367, in Krakow Norway. South of Oslo, which is the capital. Krakow's history is that it was a major fishing port that supplied most of the country. That's no longer the case, but the town still has fishing boats lined up at the docks as a tourist attraction. Liam's father is named Jakob, he's a theorical engine specialist at Starfleet. His mother's name is Nora, she's a diagnostic specialist. He has two brothers, William and Peter, and a sister named Nora, after their mother. There is one grandfather, on his father's side, named Lars. He's 104 years old. He's convinced that the family is related to the Viking king Ragnar Lothbrok, but it can't be proven. Growing up, Liam loved winter sports. Along with his brothers and sister, they skied, played hockey and curling. Liam loved cross country skiing. Their school was the only one in Norway, that students attended from kindergarten to high school. Liam was the youngest, so every time he started a new class, the teachers always said, "Your William, or Peter, or Nora's brother." It was hard to live up to them for Liam. Their grandfather passed away at 115. Liam was a fine student, usually the 2nd or 3rd best student in the class. Every year, Liam was always in the top 3rd of his class. The years passed, William graduated and was signed by the Norwegian hockey team, Peter joined the Norwegian navy and Nora became a doctor. Liam wanted to join Starfleet, to 'see the universe'. So, when he graduated, he applied to the academy and was accepted. Upon entering the Academy, Liam had to choose what he wanted to do. Counselors gave him options. He choose security, with ship operations as his minor. Cadet Swenson worked hard in his classes. He even made time for the wrestling team, and the cross-country ski team. He enjoyed his time at the academy. He made friends, of all species. As he grew, he gained weight and muscle. It seemed that many females thought him handsome, and they liked the muscles too. Cadet Swenson did time on the training ships. He was selected as a security officer and a helmsman
