Hi, everyone! I'm stoked to be here. My name's Jamie (but I'll answer to any variant of James, I'm not picky), and I'm here as Yassen Idris, a Trill Science Officer.

In terms of roleplaying games, I've mainly only played in-person D&D before, so I'm really excited to be doing this forum RPG. My main 'expertise' is in academic research and writing, so it'll be fun to exercise the more creative part of my brain. I've been a Star Trek fan since childhood, courtesy of my parents, so I'm enthused about this setting. DS9 is my favourite, but I also enjoy VOY and TOS a lot; those are my top three series. As a man whose research tends to focus around the ocean, too, I'm incredibly fond of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, for obvious whale-related reasons.

Looking forward to getting started and writing with everyone!

Great to have you here! The current mission post is "The Kepler" in the in character areas, so you may want to keep an eye on that to see what's happening on the bridge with the main mission. Once things get underway, pretty much every department should have things to work on.

Hi, great to meet you, too! And a fellow Brit! Hope the weather's being kinder to you in York than it is currently down south.

Lovely to meet you; it's so exciting to have the science department properly bulked out.
