"Within Parameters"

 Location: Deck 2, USS Vanguard

Raikon stood in front of the door to the counselor's quarters. He felt a bit nervous as he straightened his uniform, his engineering toolkit slung over his shoulder by its strap.

He had been made aware of her requirements while the ship was being refitted and had ensured his engineers altered her quarters to her specifications. He had meant to visit sooner to check on their work but had never gotten around to it.

Having served on the USS Galaxy during the Dominion War, he had served alongside the counselor's friend Karyn, who also had cerebral palsy. He found it impressive that she served on a starship, let alone in a combat situation.

His nervousness didn't stem from being confronted by her disability, but rather from the fact that she was a counselor and a Betazoid. He'd had his fair share of those after Wolf 359...

Letting out a sigh and taking a deep breath, he finally pressed the door chime, announcing his presence.
